Donald “Don” Hudson Latimer passed away peacefully on Sept. 4, 2023 at his home in San Diego, CA.Don was the middle child of five children born to Luther and Della Latimer.

Diana Gayle Mikeska, age 86 of Albany, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 6 at First Methodist Church of Albany with Lance Thomas officiating. Interment followed at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Albert “Al” Burton, age 87 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Chandler officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Elva Josephine Taylor, 83, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at her home in Woodway. A visitation was held at Bellmead Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 25 followed by a memorial and burial at Albany, Texas Cemetery on Thursday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m.

Martha June Wafer (Barton), 85, passed away on July 15, 2023. Martha was born on Mar. 11, 1938, in Sweetwater, Texas, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Barton. She married her high School sweetheart, Donald Lynn Wafer, June 12, 1957.

Karen Sue Johnson, known as Suzy to her Daddy, family and friends was born on April 10, 1942, in Mount Vernon, Illinois to parents, Carroll William (Slim) and Wynema (Kinsolving) Gore.

With great sorrow, Ashley Nicole Loftin Alexander, aka Big Momma, 38, of Albany, TX, passed away Monday July 17, 2023.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 201 S. Walnut St, Albany, TX 76430.

Don Sazama, 85 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Joyce Sazama, 81 of Albany, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023. Graveside funeral services were held Monday, July 3 at the Albany Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Tom Chandler and Pastor Paul Johnston officiating.

Beverly Ann McDonald, 67, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on June 27, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born with a heart defect on Dec. 30, 1955, to Elva and Bud Dillingham, she was only given two weeks to live.Specialists in Dallas said she would never live a normal life.

Wilma Jo Tucker Mitchell died on Friday, June 23, 2023. Burial will be in the family plot, at the cemetery in Albany on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial reception and lunch at The Old Jail Art Center at 11:00 am. All are welcome.
