Barbara Miller, age 88 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 7 at First Baptist Church of Albany with Pastor Stan Allcorn officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Barbara Carole Daniell was born Jan. 29, 1935 in Hodges, Texas to Homer Daniell and Zelma Martin Daniell.Shemarriedthelove of her life, Bonnie Miller, on June2,1955inAlbanyather parents’ home.

Barbara’s joy came from

spending time with Bonnie and her family. She and Bonnie made many trips in their RV to Colorado and New Mexico snowmobiling, camping and fishing. Other hobbies included reading, cross stitch, crochet and playing the piano.

Shewasaveryactivelady and was involved in numerous organizations including OES Chapter 733 in Albany, the American Cancer Society, and First Baptist Church where she was the pianist for 38 years. She wasalsoanactivecommittee member for the Robert Nail Memorial Scholarship, was the first Albany Lions Club Sweetheart when the Lions Club was formed in Albany, and was featured in the Outstanding Young Women in America publication in 1967. She and Pat Shelton entertained young and old alike through “Clowns, Etc.” dressed as “Ding-A-Ling” and “Blossom.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bonnie Miller; her daughter, Kelly Miller; her brother, Terry Daniell; and hergreat-grandson,Andrew Rodriguez.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her three children, Rick Miller and wife Sandy of Tuscola, Randy Miller of Albany, Brenda Collinsworth and husband Rodney of Moran; five grandchildren, Wendy Miller Moseley and husband Vernon of Abilene, Candie Miller Atkinson and husband Carle of Granbury, John Miller of Fort Worth, Jason Cunningham and wifeMeganofMidland,Kyle Miller and wife Stephanie of Tuscola; 13 great grandchildren, Kylee,Turner,Rhyder, Hannah and husband Jeremy, Kade, Nick, Emily, Matthew, Shara and husband Ivan, Jenna and husband Matt,Brayden,Bransonand Jarrett; and four great-great grandchildren.
