Sam Thomas Burge, Jr., 84, of Albany died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, in an Abilene hospital. A graveside service was held Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Albany Cemetery with Bro. Mike Carr officiating.  Services were under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Born Sept. 3, 1958, to Faye Elizabeth (Lee) Gilstrap and Walter Dee Gilstrap Sr. of Lampasas Texas. Drexel Gilstrap passed away April 18, 2023 in El Paso, Texas.Drexel is survived by his wife, Donna Gilstrap; daughter, Tawnya (Gilstrap) Branscum; sons, Drexel Gilstrap, Jr. and Dalton Gilstrap.

Renee Morrow, age 57 of Abilene, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023. A celebration of life was held Monday, April 17 at the Seabee Park Pavilion (6525 West Lake Rd., Abilene, Texas 79601). Arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

Dorothy Mott Brittingham, known as Dotsy, passed away on April 2, 2023. She lived a rich and full life and will be forever remembered by her countless friends and family.

Terry Wayne Hise of Ingram, TX passed away March 30, 2023 in Kerr­ville, TX after a brief illness.Terry was born Sept. 25, 1954 to V.E. and Ida Hise.  He graduated from Albany High School in 1973 and attended UTA. He worked for JC Penney in Irving as a mechanic, then for Western Auto.

Jill Hamilton Cauble passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 81. She was born two days after the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 9, 1941 in her family home in Moran, Texas to Floyd “Tim” and Ima Octavi Smart Hamilton.

Dorothy Churchill, age 91 of Albany, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023. Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, Apr. 5 at the Albany Cemetery with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Jackie Riley, 89, passed away on March 18, 2023. She was born Jackie Jean Treadwell on Nov. 24, 1933 to Eal and Ola Mae Treadwell of Haskell. Jackie married Claudie Riley on Jan. 26, 1953 in Lovington, NM.Jackie loved to cook, sew, and go fishing. She was a loving wife and mother.
