JOHN STOCKDALE

 

John William Proctor Stockdale, of Jacksboro, Texas, passed away peacefully at home and in the presence of loved ones on Nov. 10, 2022 at the age of 83.

John Stockdale was born April 11, 1939 in Fort Worth, Texas to Ernest Frederick Stockdale, Sr., an attorney, and Alice Eitelman Stockdale, a teacher and artist. John had two siblings, his sister Linda Sikes and brother Fred Stockdale.

Kenneth Patterson

 

June 16, 1936 – Nov. 9, 2022

Coach Ken Patterson, age 86, was freed from everything that hinders on Wednesday morning, Nov. 9, 2022, having run the race with perseverance and having fixed his eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith. (Hebrews 12:1-2)

He was born in Roby, Texas to Joseph and Renvie (Floyd) Patterson, grew up in Munday, Texas, and graduated from Howard Payne University, where he met and married Judy Lind Bell of Stephenville on May 12, 1962. She preceded him in death.

LOIS MOTLEY

Elve Lois Motley of Albany passed away at 83 years of age on Saturday evening Oct. 22, 2022 at 5:31 p.m.

She was born April 5, 1939. Elve Lois Viljoin and George Motley were married in Beaumont, Texas on April 26, 1980.

Elve Lois was employed by Human Resources for Port Arthur, Texas for nine years, andGeorge was employed by Blue Gary Well Service in Winnie, Texas.

BOONE ASKEW

Robert Boone Askew, age 17, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022 in Erath County. Boone was born Nov. 18, 2004 in Abilene, TX to Shawn and Angela Askew.

Boone was raised in Albany and Comanche, Texas where he enjoyed showing livestock, playing sports and learning the fiddle. At an early age, he discovered his passion for the cowboy way of life.

BOBBY RAY SMITH

Bobby Ray Smith was born on Dec. 8, 1953 to Carrol and Ruth Smith in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was an only child.

Bobby is a sixth generation Texan. His ancestors held four original land grants, written in Spanish, for the Republic of Texas. His great-great-grandfather was one of the original Texas Rangers and his ancestors received land in Llano County for their service at the San Jacinto Battle. He descended from a long line of ranchers in both Llano and Mason counties. This area was always the home of his heart.

ROBERT INGLE

Robert Ingle, age 43, of Nebraska, formerly of Albany, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 8 at the First United Methodist Church in Albany with Pastor Bob Heidecker officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Robert was born Dec. 3, 1978 in Albany, Texas to Don Ingle, Sr. and Cassie Meade. He went to Albany schools up until the ninth grade. Robert stayed in Albany and married Bobbie Jo Ten Cate on Apr. 18, 1998.

Tammy Brown

 

Tammy Brown, age 64 of Albany, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022. Her family will hold a memorial service for her at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary of Albany.

Tammy Deeann Brown was born Oct. 31, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Ronnie Brown and Pat McGraw Brown. Tammy met Tony Fade 15 years ago and have enjoyed life together. They enjoyed taking road trips together on their Harley Davidson. Tammy worked as a secretary for numerous years at ROCO Machine in Albany. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Brown.

Virginia Margie Ann Bernstein Loomans

Margie was called home on July 14, 2022, in Mesquite, TX after a lifetime of love for her family and faithfulness to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born on June 25, 1935, to Alvin and Clara Schulz Bernstein in Albany, TX where she was baptized into the Lutheran faith on June 28, 1935, at Trinity Lutheran Church and was confirmed in that faith on June 5, 1949.  Margie graduated from Albany High School in 1953.  She was married on July 2, 1954, to Keith A. Loomans who preceded her in death after 60 years of marriage.

LISA WARNE GLASMANN

Lisa Nicole Warne Glasmann, 39, of Prospect, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Aug. 31, 2022.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sept. 17 at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church located at 6710 Wolf Pen Branch Road, Harrods Creek, KY 40027. The Rev. Clint Wilson will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sept. 17 at St. Francis in the Fields. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Manchester, Iowa at 10:00 a.m. on Sept. 19. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Pearson Funeral Home.

JAMES RUFF

James Ruff, age 97 of Breckenridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022. Graveside funeral service with military honors were held Monday, Aug. 15 in the Albany Cemetery. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

James Allen Ruff was born April 18, 1925 in Albany, Texas to parents, James Houston Ruff and Eddith Dillingham Ruff. In 1943, James joined the United States Navy and served in World War II before his honorable discharge in 1946.
