Wallers to take over News publication

After three years of searching for a new owner for the Albany News ,publisher Donnie Lucas has announced the sale of the newspaper to Albany native David Waller and his wife Courtney. The new owners will assume operating the 141-year-old publication on Monday, Nov.

Bazaar planned Nov. 9

Members of Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church resume one of Albany’s longest-running traditions with their annual bazaar. The event, which is organized by the church’s Sallie Matthews Circle, has been held almost annually for more than a century, with very few exceptions.
