Albany FFAand county 4-H students remained busy last week, exhibiting swine and cattle at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Albany FFA’s top placing for the week came in Wave 2, where Kenzie Neve placed seventh with her Black Cross steer.

March 11 hearing set to finalize road restrictions CountyjudgeJohnViertel reported at Monday’s regular meeting of the Shackelford County commissioners that the Courthouse elevator, which has been out of service for months, had finally been repaired, although a “burning smell” had been detected in the lower hall and in the elevator that morning. The judge had already contacted Home Elevators to check on the source of the smell.
