Track teams to compete in Graham
Albany’s participation at the Lobo Relays on Thursday, March 7 was cut short by thunderstorms at Cisco. The Lions and Lady Lions return to competition Saturday, March 16 at the Possum Kingdom Relays at Graham.
Local tourney moved to Clyde
The Albany Lions baseball team had to battle the elements for the second week in a row, but managed to get in two games in the shortenedAlbany Varsity Tournament. The Lions (6-0) return to action at noon Friday at Snyder in their final outing before the start of the District 8-2A schedule.Albany opens district at 7:00 p.m.

The Albany golf team stepped into a new environment March 6 at the Millsaptournamentplayed at Lipan’s Sugar Tree. The Lions return to the links Monday-Tuesday, March 18-19.

TheAlbanyJuniorHigh track and field team members return to competition Friday, March 22 after taking this week off for spring break. After competing in meets at Anson and Cross Plains to start the season, the Cubs and Lady Cubs will attend the Clyde Relays to start the second half of the schedule.

Lions to host tourney starting today
The Albany Lions opened the 2024 baseball season by winning four games, three of them at the Hawley/Anson Woody Tourney. The Lions will host the Albany Varsity Tournament Thursday-Saturday,March7-9.
Little Dribblers final games listed
The Albany Little Dribblers Association wrapped up its 2024 season Saturday, March 2 with two teams going undefeated. Red went 8-0 to top the girls standings with Gray going 8-0 in the boys division.
