Golfers move on to regional
The Albany Lions finished second in the District 10-2A golf tournament, which concluded a two-day run Tuesday, April 2 at ShadyOaksGolfCourse,to earn a return ticket to the Region II-2A tournament.
Albany hosts round-robin tennis meet April 2
The Albany tennis program hosted a three-team, round-robin event Tuesday, April 2 with freshman singles players taking on opponents from Breckenridge and Eastland. On Wednesday, April 3, some of the regular lineup participated in a tournament at Vernon.
Weekly scrambles underway
Albany Golf Club began its weekly Wednesday Night Scrambles on Wednesday, April 3 with the event continuing until the middle of October. The event is open to all comers with entry fee of $10 for club members and $15 for nonmembers.
Lady Lions back on field
After more than a month, the Albany Lady Lions resumed their softball season Tuesday, April 2 with a 7-6 loss in nine innings at Cross Plains. The Lady Lions (6-2) host Baird at 5:00 p.m.

Albany Cubs and Lady Cubs track athletes had their final outing before the district meet on Thursday, March28whentheyhosted the Cub Relays. The junior high teams close out their season Monday, April 8 with the district meet at Hamlin.
