Moran musical planned Saturday

A monthly country and western musical will continue this month on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Moran Community Center. Moran singer-songwriter M.L. “Marty” Clifford is coordinating the event, which got underway in May.

Albany scores big win in first district game

By Donnie A. Lucas The Lions opened District 7-2A competition last Friday with a decisive 49-0 shutout against the visiting Roscoe Plowboys, scoring four times in the second quarter alone. Albany (5-2, 1-0) is on the road this Friday, traveling to Cross Plains for a 7:00 p.m.

JV stays undefeated

By Donnie A. Lucas The JV football team filled in a blank on the schedule with a game against Haskell played in Hamlin last week, maintaining their undefeated season with a 26-0 win. The JV will host Cross Plains today at Robert Nail Stadium immediately following the combined junior high game.
