Charles Billy McAfee

Charles Billy (C.B.) McAfee, age 87, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 10, 2020. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 14, at Friendship Baptist Church of Albany with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Burial followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. 

MARIE LOGGAINS

Marie Loggains, age 86 of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Funeral services were held at Saturday, July 11 at the Elliott Street Church of Christ with Jim Cox and Don Nelson officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery. 

Marie Adaline Reynolds was born Dec. 19, 1933 in Albany, Texas to parents, James Herbert Reynolds and Cleo Hash Reynolds. She went to school in San Saba and Albany and then went on to attend Draughn’s Business College. 

DORRIS DAVIS

Dorris Davis, age 94 of Albany, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020. A funeral service for family only was held Sunday, July 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Chandler officiating. 

Interment followed in the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Oma Dorris Everett was born April 13, 1926 in Throckmorton County, Texas to Lucious Eugene Everett and Selina Elizabeth Saunders Everett. She graduated from Throckmorton High School.

GENE JUMPER

Bobby “Gene” Jumper was born in 1930 in Kokomo, Eastland County, Texas. 

While in high school, in 1947, he met LaDell Faught. The two married on Dec. 23, 1949. Soon after, Gene enlisted in the Army and was deployed to Korea in 1952. He served in the Army for eight years.

A carpenter by trade, Gene became a construction foreman. He oversaw the building of homes, churches, schools and prisons. 

Sally Ann Judd Harrison

Sally Ann Judd Harrison, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2020 at the age of 96, in Richmond, Texas. 

She was born in Jan. of 1924 in Houston, Texas to Ardon Berkeley Judd and Sallie Reynolds Matthews Judd and was the oldest of three children. 

Sally Ann attended Saint Mary’s Hall in San Antonio and was a graduate of Lamar High School in Houston. She attended the University of Texas and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

HAROLD MAXWELL

Harold Clayton Maxwell, 80, of Diboll, Texas and formerly of Albany, died May, 17, 2020. Private graveside were held at Temple Family Cemetery with Dr. Brian Wiggins officiating.

Mr. Maxwell was born April 16, 1940 in Odessa, Texas to the late Alma (Arendt) and Byron F. Maxwell, Sr., and died unexpectedly Sunday, May 17, 2020 in Katy, Texas.

Mr. Maxwell resided in Diboll most of his adult life. He retired as President and CEO of the Forest Products Division of Temple Inland following 41 years of employment. 

PATSY KEY

Patsy Key, age 84 of Albany, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020. Graveside funeral services were held Monday, May 4 at Albany Cemetery with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Patsy Louise Donaldson was born Sept. 17, 1935 in Albany, Texas to John Maurice Donaldson and Edna Geraldine Childers Donaldson. 

WANDA HOGAN

Wanda Lorena Hogan, 80, of Albany died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in an Abilene hospital. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. 

Wanda was born Feb. 15, 1940 in Dalhart to Atas and Ruby (Grisham) Jones. Her family moved to Albany when she was a young girl, and she attended school in Albany. 

She married Thomas Wayne Hogan in Albany on Aug. 25, 1955. They owned and operated the Longhorn Restaurant for 20 plus years. She was a believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

STILES BELCHER

Stiles Dwaine Belcher, 82, of Knox City, Texas,  and formerly of Albany, died of dementia complications on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at an Abilene, Texas nursing home. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no visitation or services will be held. He was buried in the Albany Cemetery April 19.

William R. (BILL) Hicks 

William R. (Bill) Hicks of Windsor, Illinois, formerly of Albany, Texas, passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2020. He was 94 years old. 

He was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois on Dec. 3, 1925. He served in the U.S. Army and earned a Purple Heart for his heroic services.
