After a severe stroke on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, Judy McAllister, also known as “Aunt Judy” to her family, age 65 of Albany, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13 at Morehart Mortuary with Jeff Pleasant officiating. Services are entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

Judy Joan McAllister was born June 2, 1956 in San Angelo, Texas to Troy McAllister and Lois Richey McAllister. She went to school in Breckenridge. In 1995, she moved from Breckenridge to Abilene and worked as a bookkeeper for H&R Block for several years. 

Later, in 2016, Judy moved and made her home in Albany. She was a member of Rose Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Bledsoe; her father, Troy McAllister; her stepfather, Bill Bledsoe; and one son, Billy Lee Chaney.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Misty Michelle Brady and husband CJ of Fort Worth; one brother, Ray Evans and wife Barbara of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three sisters, Sandy Pittman of Weatherford, Laura Freeman, and Sherry Cortez, both of Abilene; one granddaughter, Harper Lee Brady; six nieces, Jacee Freeman and husband Zack, Angellica Cortez, Mariah Sikes, Bridget Chaney, Ashley Chaney and Tiffany Chaney; 11 nephews, Chris Evans, Daniel Bud Bledsoe, Justin Freeman, Jamie Pittman, Phillip Pittman, Shawn Pittman, Mike Kawoski, Colby Sikes, David Diaz, Devin Diaz and Bret Chaney; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Breckenridge, P.O. Box 16, Breckenridge, TX 76424, and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at morehartmortuary.net.
