Jr. high girls split first matches

By Donnie A. Lucas The Lady Cubs opened the season at home last Thursday, with the eighth grade winning both games over Wylie East, while the seventh grade teams came up short. The local teams are scheduled to play on Tuesday, Sept. 17, with the seventh grade teams staying home for a 4:30 p.m.

Runners medal at Coleman

By Melinda L. Lucas Albany runners have competed in their first two cross country meets of the season, with three local competitors medaling in the most recent event at Coleman on Monday. Brylee Moore took third out of 56 runners over a two-mile course in the JV girls division at Coleman.
