The 1A Lady Bulldogs faced 2A teams in District 6 competition last week and fell to both of the larger schools in three sets.

Hawley came to Moran and took back a 25-6, 25-11, 13-25 win on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The Lady Bulldogs contended with the Lady Lions in Albany on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:00 a.m. and dropped to 7-8 on the season after losing 15-25, 7-25, 15-25.

“We are still working on our coverage behind the block,” said coach Jo Hise.

However, the coach is able to see her team making headway.

“Our girls went after the ball really well, and our serves were better,” she said.

Moran hosted Abilene Christian in two games starting at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Results were not available at press time and will be reported next week.

The junior high Lady Bulldogs were also defeated by Albany last week.

The visiting Lady Cubs claimed a 25-18, 25-13 victory in straight sets.

Future Schedule

Woodson will play in Bulldog gym at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday morning before what is expected to be a large homecoming weekend crowd.

Strawn and Moran will face off in Moran on Saturday, Oct. 12. The first set should begin at 10:00 a.m.
