Danny Hebel, age 61 of Albany, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Dr. Weldon Ernest Viertel of Tyler, TX was born Dec. 4, 1930 in Stamford, TX to the late Max E. Viertel and Alice Byrd Viertel. He passed away on Feb. 18, 2020 at the age of 89. Funeral services were held at The Woods Baptist Church in Tyler on Saturday, Feb. 22 with Rev. Charles Dodson and Rev.

Thelma Burge Thelma Irene Burge, 98, of Albany TX was called home and embraced by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020. She was born on Feb. 19, 1922 in Quinlan, TX and was the daughter of James and Ethel Henrise, Jr. She married Floyd Cecil Burge in 1938 and the two made Albany their home.

Rena Mae Shack, age 83 of Moran, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 22 at Bethel Assembly with Jeff Pleasant officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery.   Rena Mae Booth was born Oct.

Archie Jean Elkin Buchanan, age 95, of Carlsbad, NM went into the arms of Jesus on Feb. 8, 2020 at Abilene Regional Hospital. She was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Tonkawa, OK to Albert Buller and Auttie Belle Wade (Buller).

Barbara Palmore, age 80 of Albany, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2020.  Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Albany Cemetery with Rev. Paul Johnston officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Landon Eric Meadows, 20, of Stephenville, Texas passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020 in Stephenville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Albany, conducted by Thomas Aly. Other arrrangements were made by Girdner Funeral Home, Abilene.

Ruth L. McCauley, 96, of Albany, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2020 at the Bella Vista Nursing Home in Breckenridge, Texas. Girdner Funeral Home is making arrangements.  A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020 at the Albany Church of Christ.

Nancy Green was born on April 18, 1928, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Polly and Gene Ebersole. After a long and adventurous life, she died on Feb. 6, 2020, at the James L. West Center for Dementia Care in Fort Worth, Texas, just a few weeks shy of her 92nd birthday. 

Wayne Chapman, age 74 of Albany, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, Feb. 7, at Bethel Assembly with Rev. Anthony Ceder and Clint Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
