Rena Mae Shack, age 83 of Moran, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 22 at Bethel Assembly with Jeff Pleasant officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery.  

Rena Mae Booth was born Oct. 3, 1936 in Stephens County to parents, William John Booth and Ola Mae Beasley Booth. She attended schools in Breckenridge. 

On April 12, 1953, Rena married Billy Jack Shack in Ranger, Texas. She and her husband started Shack Well Service in 1964 in Albany. 

Several years later in 1984, Rena began ranching and started Shack Farms. She made ranching and working the land and cattle her pastime. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Shack; her parents, William and Ola Mae Booth; two sons, Rob Shack and Bill Shack, Jr.; one sister, Rosa Lee Plott; two brothers, Bobby Rector and Archie Booth; and one granddaughter, Chelsey Shack.

Mrs. Shack is survived by her one daughter, Sherry Skinner and husband Robert of Moran; four grandchildren, Jacob Shack, Jacey Shack, Laken Robison, and Amy Rippy; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
