Darlene Davis, 77, of Albany died Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in an Abilene hospital. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Darlene was born Aug. 5, 1942 in Stamford to Ted and Margaret (Childers) Fitzpatrick. She graduated from Odessa High School.

She married Bobby Glenn Davis in Odessa on Dec. 2, 1960. They moved to Albany from Follet in 1975. She was a homemaker and “Coach’s Wife,” moving with her husband across West Texas and the Panhandle following his coaching career. They also owned and operated the Albany Chemical company for 22 years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Bubba Davis of Albany; daughter, Sissy Presley of Albany; daughter-in-law, Melanie Anderson of Albany;  sister, Sherry Enloe of Albany; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; son, Sonny Davis; and two sons-in-law, Zane McNeill and Kenny Presley.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Friendship Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Cook Children’s Hospital.
