CONNIE MEASON

Connie Meason, age 67 of Breckenridge, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 13 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Hall and Chip Pasche officiating. 

Connie Lynn Stubblefield was born Jan. 26, 1952 in Breckenridge, Texas to parents, Guy Stubblefield, Jr. and Ruth Evelyn Tomlin Stubblefield. She graduated from Breckenridge High School. 

On Nov. 27, 1981, Connie married Robert Meason in Fort Worth. She worked as a secretary for Texas A&M AgriLife Research. 

ROY KEITH “PETE” MAULDIN

Roy Keith “Pete” Mauldin, age 83, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, May 14 in the Albany Cemetery with Pastor Mitch Haynie officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Roy Keith Mauldin was born on Feb. 28, 1936 in Albany, Texas to parents, Roy R. Mauldin and Minnie Matthews Mauldin. He was raised in Albany and later attended Tarleton State University.

DOUG MORGAN

Alvin Douglas Morgan of Lake Wales, Florida and formerly of Albany, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale.

He was born Aug. 23, 1936 in Ratliff City, Oklahoma to the late Biege and Emma Lou “Ella” (White) Morgan. He had been a resident of the Lake Wales area since coming from Texas in 1998. He was a Maintenance Foreman for Shackelford County, Texas. 

Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the card game Canasta, and spending time with his family and friends.

Will Galbreath, age 49, of Fisk, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. 

Graveside service was held Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Brown Ranch Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Jim Kitchens, pastor of Gouldbusk and Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Inurnment was in the Brown Ranch Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

Elizabeth Nell Dyess Denman – Oct. 15, 1920 – Apr. 25, 2019

On Apr. 25, 2019, due to complications from a stroke, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and amazing friend to many, Elizabeth Nell Dyess Denman of Lake Jackson, Texas, peacefully passed into the arms of her loving Lord.

ALICE REMMELE

Alice Bernice Schkade Remmele, 90, a retired lab technician and a homemaker of Paradise, Texas, went to be with our Lord Friday, April 12, 2019 in Plano.

Funeral service was Tuesday, April 16, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Paradise Cemetery. 

Pastor Chris Baer officiated. 

Pallbearers were Jarrett Blessing, Derek Boyd, Steve Schkade, Ben Schkade, Mark Moody, Sean Harris, Lane Loiselle, Jay Bivin, and Jeremy Massey.

JOHN REAMES

John Reames, age 85 of Albany, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. Graveside funeral services were held Monday, April 8 in the Albany Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Pleasant officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

John Douglas Reames was born June 1, 1933 in Albany, Texas to V.A. Reames and Grace Tankersley Reames. He grew up in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1950. Following graduation, He attended classes at Sul Ross University.

MARIANA GREEN

Mariana Green was born Nov. 16, 1959 and grew up on the Green Ranch, just east of Albany, Texas; she was the youngest of the three children of Bob and Nancy Green. Mariana died on March 26, 2019, after a short but vicious fight with cancer.

A memorial service was held at The Old Jail Art Center at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019.
