Band plans performance

By Sidney Bartee Summer rehearsals for all band members began on Monday, July 25 with no practices scheduled for Fridays. On Monday, Aug. 2, percussionists will not have separate practice, but will join the rest of the band from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night practices are from 5:00 to 6:30 p.

Annual Day Camp ends this week

By Sidney Bartee ResourceCare Day Camp officially ends tomorrow, averaging 86 campers a day. The Day Camp has been held annually since 1998, when 15 kids participated in the program to provide students with a safe place, food, activities, and experiences during part of their summer vacation.

By Sidney Bartee The final day for the swimming season at the Albany city pool is Sunday, Aug. 1. Pool manager Jennifer Bowman said the pool’s closing coordinates with Albany’s two-a-day schedule. All lifeguards hired at the pool are high school students, and many participate in sports.

Moran organizing new Junior FFA group
