Program ad deadline extended

The deadline for football program ads has been extended until tomorrow, July 30.

Community members or businesses who want to purchase ads for the football program can contact a Booster Club officer.

Ad prices are $30 for a business card size, $60 for a quarter page, $120 for a half page, and $225 for a full page.

Annual Event

The annual Hamburger Supper held by the Albany Athletic Booster Club is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 9.

The event will be held at the Bank Park starting at 6:00 p.m.

The meal includes a hamburger, drink, chips, and ice cream for $8. Varsity and JV cheerleaders are providing ice cream.

Everyone is encouraged to attend the fundraiser.

Albany Lion varsity and JV football teams, cheerleaders, and cross country teams will be introduced.

Young girls who participated in Albany Cheer Cubs Camp will perform at the event.

One more volunteer is needed to grill burgers, according to Kristie Smith, who is helping organize the event.

The Booster Club will have football and volleyball memorabilia available to purchase.

“Those who want to support athletics can pre-order t-shirts for the 2021 football and volleyball seasons,” Smith said.

Buttons will also be available to pre-order from the cheerleaders during the supper.

The next Athletic Booster Club meeting is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 2 at 6:00 p.m. at the Feed Store. All supporters of local sports are encouraged to come to the meeting.

Booster Club officers for the 2021-2022 school year are Ginny Ivy – president, Amanda Tabor – vice-president, Sara Birkla – treasurer, and Christi Chapman and Cari Heatly – co-secretaries.
