Albany’s Tyler Chapman has been selected to playinthe2024TexasHigh School Baseball Coaches AssociationAll-Star game. Chapman was picked for the North team for the Class 2A-4A game, scheduled for Saturday, June 15 at Round Rock’s Dell Diamond.

The Albany Lions overcame one rough inning to sweep their Class 2A area baseball playoff series against Eldorado last week, sending the Lions to the third round for the ninth season in a row.

Albany entries dominated the Region II-2Atennis tournament last week, winning four of five draws to qualify for state. The Class 2A state tournament will be played Thursday-Friday, May 16-17 at Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio.
