Words about the WORD - Clint Chapman - Maranatha Fellowship

Over the years of being in the ministry I have had some people approach me about how to hear the Lord speak.  So in this article I want to share one of the ways that I have taught some in the body of Christ about listening for the voice of the Lord.

First of all, John 10:27 says “the sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.”  There are some keys in this verse, and they are listening, hearing, and following.

There’s a lot bouncing around in my head this week, so let’s dive right in.

The Great Rick Davis

Graduation is tomorrow, and as the school year comes to a close, there’s one name that keeps coming to mind: Rick Davis. After 30 years of teaching in Albany, Mr. Davis is retiring, and what a loss that is for our school.

Beatitudes (Part 1)

Text: Matt 5:1-5

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

It must have been a fearsome day, the mourning of His death; as He who is without a flaw, the Author of all breath, submitted to the curse of man whose shrill and evil call to be like god, and worship self, still echoed from the fall; and would not tolerate the Light revealing truth to all.

So it was fixed in human hearts to silence God’s own Word; proclaiming man the better part, as pride of life was stirred.
