Life changes when Jesus goes with us.
1. There is a new level of fellowship. Taking Jesus with us through the day in our prayers, in our conversations, and in our everyday activities brings a closeness to Him in our spirit.
1 John 1:7
“Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks.” (Luke 17:15-16)
The other day I went to the courthouse to renew the registration on my car. The whole thing, from the time I left my house until I returned with the registration, took less than 15 minutes. If I was still living in a big city, it might have taken hours. It’s a small thing, but I appreciate that convenience.
Love the Lord with all your heart! Jesus tells us in John 13:34, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” Jesus also tells us in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”
Jesus and His love always forgives, and is patient, thoughtful, never gets angry and is kind even to one’s enemies. That is why Jesus laid His life down for you and me!

This week marks one year at The Albany News. Where in the world did that time go? The older I get, the faster it seems to move. I know, I know—some old-timer is already shaking his head saying, “Wait, kid, it only gets faster.” And I believe it. I’m just starting to fully grasp how fast it’s going by.
Lately the Lord has put upon my heart to read the Word of God with a kingdom mindset. And this is hard to do for many believers because we were not raised under a king but we live in a democracy. Instead of a King we have a President, a congress and a senate to make decisions and laws for us as citizens. But when a King makes a decree, it becomes the law of the land. When we read the Word of God, it can be hard to understand what Jesus was talking about when he said in this mission statement in Matthew 4:17 “from the time Jesus began to preach and say, repent f
