Moran ISD gears up for school start

The Moran Independent School District is fully staffed for the upcoming year, according to superintendent Danny Freeman. “We just finished our hiring for this school year,” said Freeman last week. “Teacher in-service will begin Aug. 10 for all new staff, and Aug. 13 for everyone else.”

Pickup dates set for commodities

Pick-up dates for the August distribution of the commodity food program are today and tomorrow. On Thursday, Aug. 2, certified eligible families in Moran should pick up their monthly commodity food at the Moran City Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
