4-H officers to be elected May 21

By Sam WallerShackelford County 4-H is winding down its year with the final meetings scheduled for Sunday, May 21, but summer programs will be starting soon.The Horse Club and Sewing Club will meet together at 3:00 p.m. at The Feed Store to make tailbags for horses.That will be followed at 4:00 p.m.

Study Club starts annual quilt raffle

AISD staff to be honored by PTO

NSES track- field day set

Moran prom royalty announced

By Sam WallerMoran High School had almost 100 percent turnout Friday, May 5 for its prom at the Moran events center.Seniors Alyssa Allred and Tyler Waddell were crowned prom queen and king.Moran principal Jo Hise said the event had about 50 attendees, more than Moran’s high school enrollment.

Webb, Green named top students

By Donnie A. LucasAlbany High School recently announced honor students for the 2023 senior class, with Ella Webb named valedictorian and Presley Green as salutatorian.Six other seniors were named honor students as part of the top 25 percent of the class, which has 32 members.

Fundraising gets underway for show barn improvements
