The Feed Store is taking another shot at playing its Powder Puff  flag football game at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Robert Nail Memorial Stadium.

The event was postponed from Sunday, May 7, after rain left the field unplayable.

“I’ll never complain about rain,” Feed Store director Tisha Wilkins said, “I know we’ve got rain in the forecast for the next several days, but I do hope we can get the game in.”

To make way for the rescheduled event, First Baptist Church of Albany will not hold its regular Wednesday youth activities that night.

The game will match the Pink team of senior and freshman girls against the Purple team composed of juniors and sophomores. The Pink team will be coached by senior boys with the Purple team coached by junior boys.

No admission fee will be charged, and the concession stand will not be open. Instead, Wilkins said, donations will be accepted at the gate, and free bottled water will be available.
