Cross country girls to run at district

The high school cross country girls ran at two meets over the last week in preparation for the district meet set for Wednesday, Oct. 28 in Anson.

The pair of Briley Tabor and Brylee Moore ran at Anson on Oct. 14, turning in times of 16:08 for 30th place for Tabor and 17:03 for Moore for 37th place.

“The girls really struggled,” coach Tate Thompson said. “This definitely was not their best showing. I think taking last week off hurt them a little bit.”

The coach said the positive aspect was that Tabor and Moore ran the same course that they will run at the district meet.

The girls also traveled to Munday this Wednesday, Oct. 21 for the final meet prior to district. Results were not available at press time.
