Christmas movie Moran ISD mixed education and entertainment during the final week of the fall semester. OnWednesday,Dec.18, students from all grades attended a showing of the movie“TheBestChristmas Pageant Ever.” Based on the 1972 children’s novel of the same name by Barbara Robinson, the film tells the storyofsixmisfit children who volunteer to star in their town’s Sunday schoolChristmaspageant, and end up teaching the town the true meaning of Christmas.

Stockshow ramps up fundraising efforts

The Shackelford Youth and Livestock Association is starting its final fundraising push ahead of the 2025 county livestock show. Eventssuchasasummer golf scramble, the First Impressions Pig Sale, and the Shackelford County Showdown jackpot pig show have raised approximately $70,000 to be used forthisyear’ssale,according to association member Reggy Spencer.
