Local nominees receive awards from state ag teachers

The Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas presented awards to The Albany News and Albany resident Wesley Turner for the support of agriculture education at its conference, held Sunday-Friday, July 21-26 in Dallas.

Albany agriculture teacher and FFA sponsor Chris Beard, who submitted nominations for both honors, accepted the awards on behalf of the recipients.
