The presidential race plus a contested county attorney election brought out huge numbers of county voters for the 2024 General Election, with 69% voting early and absentee. A total of 1,736 voters cast ballots, representing almost 72 percent of the 2,325 registered voters in the county in what Election Chief Cheri Hawkins said is a record.
