4-H kickoff party set Sept. 13
By Sam Waller
Shackelford County 4-H will host a come-and-go kickoff party and organizational meeting next Monday, Sept. 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Feed Store.
Shackelford County extension agent Kelsey Bell said the meeting will offer an overview of programs available to 4-Hers in the coming year.
“We’ll have each of our project leaders giving information about what the year will look like in each of those areas,” Bell said. “This is just to come and learn and will be very casual.”
Shackelford County 4-H offers programs for shooting sports, equine, health and nutrition, and sewing and fashion. Bell said there may also be a photography project available.
Food will be provided at the meeting, and Bell emphasized that attendees will not be expected to sign up for a project just yet.
“It’s just to have fun, with no obligations at this point,” she said. “Just come and learn and see what we’re offering this year.”
