Shackelford County sheriff Ed Miller was recognized Tuesday, Sept. 3 for five years of service as a member of the Betty Hardwick Center board of trustees.

Registration for GED classes continues weekly on Monday and Tuesday nights at the Shackelford County Library, according to local instructor Kenzie Fairchild. Classes started in August; however, students are free to begin the program at any point.
