8U softball event planned

Albany’s Red Thunder softball team is sponsoring an 8U softball tournament May 17-18 at Webb Park, according to Ragan Riley, organizer. As of Tuesday afternoon, the tournament was already full, and no more entries were being accepted, Riley said.

Albany Little League’s regular season will last just a little longer thanks to a pair of rainy days last week. Little League president Paul Hamilton said games scheduled for Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 will be made up next week.
