By Melinda L. LucasLast week’s softball games against district opponents ended up about as coach Jimmy Fuentes expected, with an 0-18 loss to district leader Stamford and a 11-0 win over Abilene TLCA.Albany hosted both games – Stamford on Tuesday, March 25 and TLCA on Friday.

Albany’s junior high track teams wrapped up their seasons at the district meet in Cisco on March 29 with standout efforts from both the girls and boys.For the Lady Cubs, both the seventh and eighth grade girls teams finished as runner-up in the overall standings.
