ABC fundraising continues

$ Albany’s Academic Booster Club just awarded almost $17,000 in grant requests submitted by local teachers and is continuing the fundraising campaign started a year ago. The local group has provided funding to supplement teacher trainings, equipmentpurchases for classrooms, and local scholarships in addition to sponsoring the annual academic banquet in May.

Bingo also planned Members of the Albany FFA are kicking off their annual fundraising campaign with sales of meat, fruit, cookies, and other items. The yearly project is conducted online with orders being processed by Seitz Fundraising.

Lewis scholarships The Patch, a fundraiser hosted by Bethel Assembly, provided several family activities last Saturday morning in addition to selling pumpkins. “Wehadagreatturnout and lots of fun at the Patch this year,” said Christina Daugherty,organizer.

Chili supper to benefit children

First Baptist Church of Albany will hold its annual Chili Supper prior to the Albany Lions Homecoming game against Miles on Oct 11. Proceeds from the supper will be used to help send children to summer camp.
