Chest total passes halfway mark

Donations of $2,825 were made to the Albany Chest last week, bringing the total contributed toward the 2018 campaign goal of $42,000 up to $24,257.

4-Hers compete at district show

Youth basketball deadline set soon

Signup is underway for local fifth and sixth grade boys and girls that want to play in Albany’s youth basketball league, according to organizer Clint Chapman. “The deadline to sign up is Friday, Nov. 30,” Chapman said. “It’s a little earlier than it was last year.

Co-op to send students to D.C.

Big Country Electric Cooperative is again sponsoring three students to attend the 2019 Government-in-Action Youth Tour.  The all-expenses-paid, weeklong learning and leadership event will be held in Washington, D.C., in June 2019. Winners receive a scholarship along with trip expenses.

The Albany Athletic Booster Club has several activities planned in preparation for Albany’s bi-district playoff game with the Rocksprings Angoras tonight. The game will be held at San Angelo Stadium, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15.
