Local Masons give tooth kits to first graders

By Melinda L. Lucas All first graders at Nancy Smith Elementary School were recently given free prevent tooth decay kits through the Fantastic Teeth Fan Club.  Members of Albany Masonic Lodge, led by John Tate and Robert Skelton, assembled and delivered 41 dental hygiene kits to the school.

Team finishes at tournament

By Kathy Thomson The Albany Fall Ball team season ended on Tuesday, Oct. 22 when the local 12U team lost 8-5 to Wylie in the second round of tournament action. Wylie went on to play in the final game, where they lost to Southern. “We had a great season overall,” said organizer Anthony Ceder.
