Shackelford County 4-H elected officers for the 2024-25 year Sunday, May 5 at its final meeting of the 2023-24 year. Shackelford County extension agent Kelsey Bell said she will meet with the new officers before the start of the next year.

Two Albany FFA members caught calves last month at the San Angelo Rodeo calf scramble with one advancing to the finals. On Sunday, April 7, Bradee Stautzenberger finished first and Donald McCullough took sixth place.

This year’s health fair sponsored by Resource Care has officially been cancelled for 2024, according to Mindy Ary, director at ResourceCare. Weather conditions caused the cancellation of the fair, which was in its 20th year and had been scheduled for last Friday at the Bank Park.
