John Hash, 86 of Albany, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 17th at First Baptist Church with Jody Sanders officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation was held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, February 16th at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.

Jann Cook Todd, 76, a long-time resident of Albany, passed away on February 11, 2025. Her memorial service at Albany Methodist Church was held on Monday, February 17 with Pastor Krueger officiating.

Look at Jesus

“While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. There was a flurry of applicants filing for the Shackelford County Hospital Board before last week’s deadline, with a total of seven names to be on the ballot – six for the three two-year positions and one for an unexpired term.

There also ended up being four candidates for the Moran ISD board of trustees, with two seats available.
