Running Man slated

The Feed Store is gearing up for its own version of Halloween tricks and treats with the 27th annual Running Man competition.. The activities begin at 9:00 p.m.

Red Ribbon Week continues

The 2023 Red Ribbon Week campaign is winding down, but organizers still have events planned for the final two days on Thursday and Friday. Students at both the elementary and secondary campuses have been involved in dress-up days, contests, and daily tokens to remind them to stay away from drugs and alcohol.

Food show winners to advance

Go BAND!

and! For the second consecutive year, the Ragin’ Red Band earned Division I ratings from all three judges at the Region 6 UIL Marching Contest earlier this week, advancing to the 2A Area Marching Contest in Amarillo on Saturday. Albany was one of 26 bands that performed at regional contest Monday at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene, receiving a top rating from each of the judges to move on to the next level.

Homecoming royalty to be crowned Friday

The 2023 homecoming parade is set to roll through downtown on Friday featuring Albany High School and ex-student royalty, followed by presentation of the homecoming court and crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen during the halftime ofAlbany vs. Roscoe homecoming game with a 7:00 p.m.
