7-on-7 team wins pool, loses qualifier

Albany’s 7-on-7 entry was within reach of a state tournament berth before having its hopes dashed.

Albany won its pool Friday, June 7 at the Abilene D3 State Qualifying tournament, but lost 28-21 to Brady on a last-minute score in the qualifying round.

The tournament was Albany’s only outing of the 7-on-7 season.
