Directors named to Fandangle board

Fournewdirectorswere elected and one re-elected during the Fort Griffin Fandangle Association’s annualembershipmeeting held last Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Longtime director Lanham Martinwillcontinueto serve,withKelseyBell,Lee Burton, Brittney Harmon, and James Musselman all named as new directors to servefullthree-yearterms.

Henry Musselman, who has served as president of the board for the last year during an extensive renovation of the Prairie Theater, opted to step down and resigned from the board.

New officers will be elected at the next meeting, according to Jamie Parsons, who is the office manager for the Association.

Those present at the meeting voted to produce the 2024 Fandangle. The dates are June 21-22 and June 28-29. Next summer will mark the 86th anniversary of the show.

The group also voted to hold a membership sampler on April 20, 2024. However, the location has not been decided.

Other members of the board whose terms are continuing include John Ayers, Branch Bartee, ShellyBartee,MattBellah, MegaenBirdwell,GayeDavis, Nancy Law Hallman, and David Waller.
