Waller, Mumford exchange vows

Steve and Susan Waller of Albany announce the marriage of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Waller, to Mason Ray Mumford, son of Robbie Mumford and the late Marvin Mumford of Corpus Christi.

The bride was given in marriage by her father on  May 26, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Utopia United Methodist Church in Utopia, Texas. Chad Chamness officiated.

The bride is the granddaughter of Winifred Waller of Albany and Sharon Siewert Knaus of Abilene.

Delores Conway of Corpus Christi is the grandmother of the groom. 

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Albany High School and graduated from Texas Tech University in 2014 with a RHIM degree and a minor in business.

The groom graduated from Calallen High School in Corpus Christi in 2009 and from Texas Tech with a degree in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Mathematics and another minor in Business. He is also acquiring an MBA from UTPB. He is currently employed by Four Point Energy.

The bride wore an A-line dress with tulle and lace detailing. She carried her grandmother Waller’s bridal handkerchief and wore the veil also worn by her mother and grandmother Knaus. She carried a simple bouquet of eucalyptus and white roses.

Taylor West and Megan Sprague were her maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Waller, and Courtney Waller, sisters-in-law;  Molly Smith, cousin of the bride; Kaitlyn Williams, Bess Coleman, Caitlin Yoakum, and Taylor Weeks.

Ella Marie Waller, daughter of Andrew and Ashley Waller and niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

Groom’s attendants included Max Power and Drew Webber, who served as best men. Groomsmen were Ben Flores, Tim Greene, Hunter Davee, Mat Garza, Royce Otahal, Cade Shaw, and Jay Murphy.

The bride’s parents hosted a dinner/dance reception at the House Pasture Cattle Co. in Concan.

The couple went to Harbour Island in the Bahamas for their honeymoon.
