New veterans monuments installed

Two stones added to the veterans monument on Shackelford CountyCourthouselawn were installed Tuesday, July 2 with more than 120 names already engraved.

“We added one stone that onlyhadWorldWarIveterans,” organizer Mary Kay O’Connor said. “We added 108 World War I veterans. We bought another one for other veterans and put 19 names on it.”
