By Sandy Morris
Shackelford County ResourceCare hosted the 17th annual spring health fair at the Bank Park last Friday, May 14.
“We had students from Nancy Smith Elementary School and Mother’s Day Out here in Albany, and Moran brought 60 students,” said ResourceCare program director Mindy Ary. “The children enjoyed all of the games, prizes, snow cones, and popcorn.”
The health fair included representatives from local and area profit and nonprofit agencies including West Central Texas Council of Governments, Amerigroup, Region 14 Headstart, Old Jail Art Center, the local fire department and EMS, Betty Hardwick Center, First Financial Bank, and Kindred at Home.
ResourceCare had booths set up representing their counseling, dental, and outreach services.
Albany and Moran High School volunteers helped younger students with various activities.
