Closet Angels to host BTS event

The annual Back to School Bash at Closet Angels is scheduled for today, July 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Multiple drawings will be held during the two-hour event.

Families that would like to enter any drawings can sign up at the front desk, but they do not have to be present to win any prizes.

Applications for school supplies through the Resource Center will also be available.

First Financial Bank is providing hot dogs and gift cards, and Bethel Assembly will give Walmart gift cards for school supplies.

Closet Angels director Lori Reames emphasized that anyone can shop at the ministry, but adults are asked to limit personal purchases so more is available to students.

“We do not want anyone to feel they cannot shop with us,” Reames said. “Everyone is welcome to attend the event and find back to school items.”

The ministry is still willing to take donations of door prizes for the event.

These can include, but are not limited to, groceries, gas, clothing, restaurant gift cards, and basic need items.

Anyone who would like to donate can contact Reames at 325-721-8620 to arrange pickup.

Reames asks that anyone attending the event park in front of the building as the back will be blocked off to make room for tables.

The ministry is open every Monday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
