Albany ISD board members approved raising teacher pay Monday, nearly doubling the amount of above state base for professional staff from $2,050 to $4,000 per year starting Sept. 1 for the 2024-25 school year.

In addition, all district employees will receive a hike in the portion the district pays towards health care from the current $255 per month to $300 per month.
