The Albany Lady Cubs volleyball program began its preseason practices in earnest this week with the first matches of the season on the horizon. The Albany Red and White teams open the schedule at 5:00 p.m.

Neil Bennett has assumed the duties of pastor of First Baptist Church, taking over for interim pastor Stan Allcorn. Bennett, who has spent over 30 years in the ministry, comes to Albany from San Antonio where he has served as senior pastor at Churchill Baptist Church for the past 20 years.
