June 3 is the deadline this year to register for the Big Country Fellowship of Athletes Summer Camp. The annual camp will run Monday through Friday, June 17 -21 at Hardin Simmons University.
First Baptist Church is sponsoring a Family Fun Day every Sunday night this summer, beginning June 2 and running through July 21. Activities each week are swimming, eating, and games, including volleyball and cornhole.

Four members of the Albany High School Class of 2024 received scholarships from the Shackelford Youth and Livestock Association during commencement exercises Friday, May 24. Graduates Braylyn Abbate, Brooklyn Abbate, Cooper Edgar, and Kolt Koemel were presented $500 scholarships in recognition of their years of participation in the county stock show.
