Pies collected for Salvation Army

Albany Methodist Church is again taking donations of pies to contribute to the Abilene SalvationArmy for its annual Thanksgiving meal. Local residents can contribute by bringing homemade or purchased pies to the church’s Fellowship Hall by noon Wednesday, Nov.

FBC youth plan bake sale

The First Baptist Church of Albany youth group will hold a Christmas bake sale to raise funds for summer camps.

The sale will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Bank Park.

All proceeds go to the FBC youth group for church camp in the summer of 2024.

There will be no set prices. Instead, donations will be accepted for all items.
