Witten’s team to play here this Saturday
By Sam Waller
Former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten will visit Albany this weekend in his role as head football coach of Argyle Liberty Christian.
The Liberty Christian Warriors (1-1) will play the Lubbock Trinity Christian Lions (1-1) at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at Robert Nail Memorial Stadium.
The game will be the second of the season at Nail Stadium for Trinity Christian, which opened its schedule Aug. 26 against Albany.
Witten, who spent 16 of his 17 NFL seasons with Dallas, ranks second in all-time career receptions and receiving yards by an NFL tight end. He is in his second season as head coach at Liberty Christian, going 2-8 in 2021.
