Volunteers needed for annual supper

The Albany Athletic Booster Club firmed up plans for the coming school year at its Monday, July 24 meeting at The Feed Store.
“We had a good turnout and covered several topics for this upcoming season,” Booster Club president Cari Heatly said. “We went over team parent signup and had several parents sign up, but I know they are still needing spots filled.”
Anyone wishing to serve as a team parent should contact Heatly at 325-762-5137 or Ginny Ivy at 325-725-3005. Volunteers may also message the Albany Athletic Booster Club on Facebook.
Ice Cream Supper
The Ice Cream Supper will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Aug. 7 at the Bank Park. The Spirit Shop will open at 6:00 p.m.
Price of the meal – which includes hamburgers, chips, and a drink – is $10. Payment may be made by credit card, Venmo, check or cash.
Albany cheerleaders will be serving homemade ice cream for dessert.
The cheerleaders will also have a table set up next to the ice cream for button sales for all grades 7-12. Only buttons for fall sports will be sold at this time. Buttons will cost $5 each. The cheerleaders will only accept cash or checks.
Senior Photos
Before the Ice Cream Supper, a senior athlete photo will be taken starting at 5:45 p.m. with football players and cheerleaders at the Picket House. Immediately after that, all senior athletes who plan to play a sport this year are asked to come to the Chamber of Commerce office for a photo.
Program Ads
Deadline for purchasing ads in this year’s football program is Tuesday, Aug. 1. Heatly said advertisements are again offered in four sizes – business card ($30), quarter page ($60), half page ($120), and full page ($225).

Team Gear
Heatly said reorders for Albany team shirts and other paraphernalia will be taken through the Booster Club website (www.albanyathletic boosterclub.com) and the Albany Athletic Booster Spirit Shop Facebook page.
